The aluminum ball head is made by CNC machining with black anodized finish. The ball head's textured surface provides a strong grip with the Super Knuckle shell. The steel male 1/4"-20 thread on the ball head matches the female thread at the bottom of most cameras & camcorders. The extra round plate offers extra support and stability for mounted devices. The ball head can be mounted into a Super Knuckle arm after loosening its central knob.
